Leave and Abscence

  • Leave is not granted except on prior written application from the parent / guardian and that too only for serious reasons. It must be sanctioned by the principal.
  • Those absent for one or two days for any reason (including sickness) should get it entered in the leave Absence Record of the school diary by the parents /guardian and must get it sanctioned by their class teacher on the very following day. Those absent for more than two days must submit a leave letter to the principal on the day of reporting. It must also be entered in the Leave Absence Record of the diary. Defaulters will be fined.
  • In the likelihood of a pupil's absence for more than a couple of days due to serious reasons, the parent must apply for leave in advance and produce a Medical Certificate in case of illness on the day of reporting to the school.
     
    Long Absence : Report of absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than five consecutive days and long absence for insufficient reasons render a student liable to have his name struck off the rolls. Re-admission, if granted, the student must pay a fine of 500/- in addition to the fee for the broken periods of attendance.
     
    Re-opening Day : All the students should compulsorily attend classes on the re-opening day after vacation. Those absent without prior sanctioned leave will be fined at the rate of ₹ 10 per day. Those absent due to sickness must inform the Principal before they are admitted to class, failing which they must pay the above penalty. Absence without prior sanctioned leave for more than five days immediately after a vacation renders the student liable for dismissal.
     
    Sickness : A student returning to school after an infectious or contagious disease should produce a fitness certificate from a doctor.
